Registration open for October workshops at Georgia Tech
Registration is open for Georgia Tech’s October 31 K.I.D.S. Club and STEAM Workshop.
As previously promised, kids in kindergarten and first grade are included in the October session of K.I.D.S. Club, in addition to the customary grades 2 through 5. These youngest kids will have two 90-minute sessions (circuit building and archaeology). Meanwhile, 2nd- and 3rd-grade students will rotate among three different topics of about an hour each: circuitry, stained glass, and batteries.
Students in 4th and 5th grades can choose to attend two sessions of 90 minutes each (SCRATCH coding and biomolecular engineering) or choose to do one, three-hour session on engineering for earthquakes.
STEAM Workshops are for students in grades 6 through 12. October’s STEAM Workshop will be on game development.
Because the sessions are meeting on Halloween, the CEISMC program has invited kids to dress up like Buzz, the Georgia Tech yellow jacket mascot. Those who dress up have a chance to win free registration for a future K.I.D.S. Club session.
