Bio@Tech offers high-school students an intensive biology experience
Georgia Tech has opened registration for Bio@Tech, a three-week summer program that allows high-school students to study advanced topics in the biological sciences.
The slate for the 2011 Bio@Tech includes DNA forensics, plankton ecology, DNA sequencing, and the study of microbes found in harsh environments.
Bio@Tech is open to rising 11th and 12th graders, although “exceptional rising 10th graders will also be considered,” according to the web site. Application is competitive and requires two teacher recommendations and a student essay. The application period closes April 22, 2011.
