Registration open for first Georgia Tech workshops of fall

Registration is open for Georgia Tech’s September 26 K.I.D.S. Club and STEAM Workshops.

The September session of K.I.D.S. Club is for students in grades 2 through 5. (The program expanded to include students in kindergarten and first grade in the spring, and they say they’ll welcome those younger students back this October and November.) In the three-hour program, 2nd- and 3rd-grade students will rotate among three different topics of about an hour each: computer science, chemistry, and circuitry. Students in 4th and 5th grades will go to two sessions of 90 minutes each: electromagnetics and wind power.

STEAM Workshops are for students in grades 6 through 12. Topics vary by age group. Topics planned for September 26 include coding, game development, biomedical engineering, and construction careers in virtual reality.

All workshops meet on the Georgia Tech campus from 9 a.m. to noon. Follow the links to register.
