Enrichment from home

All of these resources are free to use, but as you use them, please consider supporting the content providers with donations, memberships or purchases.

I’m building this page on the fly, adding resources as I find them. Do you know of something great for gifted kids that’s not already listed here? Please go to the Contact page of this site and send me the info so I can add it.

Google Arts and Culture. See online museums and cultural sites in the Collections area. Places to visit include the Smithsonian Institute, the Museum of Modern Art, the Palace of Versailles, the LIFE Photo Collection, and hundreds more, some famous and some obscure. From the main Collections page, you can click on MAP to find cultural venues all over the world. You can also use Street View feature to virtually walk through museums and landmarks.

Jigsaw Planet. Free online jigsaw puzzles, some with as few as 6 pieces and going up to 300 pieces. If you create an account, you can also make your own puzzles. (Thank you to the Atlanta History Center for the tip!)

The Escape Game Field Trips. The Escape Game is an escape room company with locations in Atlanta and around the United States. Their online field trips are set in a famous location or time in history. Players solve puzzles and find clues to complete their mission. (Note: My son tried this and said it was more like a scavenger hunt than solving puzzles.)
