“Critter Camp” lets kids 6-13 get up close with amphibians, reptiles
Amphibians and reptiles can be captivating, even a little mysterious. Kids ages 6 to 13 can learn a lot more about them this summer at Critter Camp.
Critter Camp is a one-week camp, with each day devoted to one of five types of animals: salamanders, frogs, turtles, lizards and snakes.
The camp is led in part by Mark Mandica, who served as director of the Amphibian Conservation Program at Atlanta Botanical Garden.
Camps will be offered from May 29 to August 10 at the Blue Heron Nature Preserve in northeast Atlanta, near Chastain Park; and from June 11 to July 27 at the Friends School in Decatur.
